Sewage treatment is the process of removing contaminants from municipal wastewater. Under this project different processes are used to remove contaminants and produce treated wastewater that is safe enough for release into the environment. Inspired by this, Sri Lanka Navy has also set up a sewage treatment project at the Welisara Naval Complex to remove pollutants of liquid waste.
