The Sri Lanka Navy is a key partner in the government’s Clean Sri Lanka Task Force, aimed at fostering transformation across Sri Lanka. Aligned with the government’s vision of a “Beautiful Island, Smiling People”, the Navy is actively contributing to this transformative effort that prioritizes social, environmental and ethical progress.

The government’s ambitious framework, “A Fulfilling Life – A Comfortable Country”, encompasses four key pillars: “A fulfilling life – A comfortable country”, “An honourable life – A safer country”, “A modern life – A wealthy nation” and “A dignified life – A strong country”. To realize this vision, the administration has adopted a three-fold strategy through eradicating poverty, establishing a digital economy and executing the Clean Sri Lanka national project.

The Sri Lanka Navy is playing a pivotal role in mobilizing communities by raising awareness about the objectives, responsibilities, and benefits of the Clean Sri Lanka initiative.

The campaign emphasizes the need for behavioral change at individual, institutional, social and policy levels to ensure long-term success.

Additionally, the Navy has contributed to supplementary programmes of the Clean Sri Lanka campaign, including “A Beautiful Beach – An Attractive Tourist Destination”, aimed at restoring coastal areas to boost tourism, and “A School Full of Happiness”, which nurtures conducive learning environments for students.
