Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief Operations

Maritime forces are ideal means to provide a comprehensive logistic
support and refuge offshore base for humanitarian assistance as a means
of transport and offshore base. The attribute of flexibility of maritime
forces will enhance the effectiveness in disaster relief especially in the
early stages of disasters. A maritime force could provide a vast range
of assistances such as providing of fresh water, food, medical facilities,
make ship arrangement of shelter and energy requirements.
